Mass rally in support of Russia and against NATO takes place in Sydney

In Sydney, a mass rally was held against NATO and wars, in support of the Russian Federation and for the freedom of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is in a British prison. This is reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the video of the procession, published on the Internet.

The rally participants were carrying Russian flags and slogans, some of them were wearing T-shirts with the Z symbol. The demonstrators also carried banners calling for freedom of speech and against the lies that lead to wars.

The publication clarifies that the official media (media) of Australia ignored the holding of thousands of rallies in Sydney. Near the Google building, John Shipton, father of Julian Assange, who was challenging the decision to extradite him to the United States in a London court, addressed the crowd. It is noted that Assange’s father went up to the podium of the rally in Sydney in a hat with earflaps.

After that, the “Australian Cossack” Semyon Boykov spoke through a repeater on a mobile connection. Since September last year, he has been granted asylum at the Russian embassy in Sydney from police persecution. He noted that at least 3,000 people took part in the demonstration.

“The fact is that many free citizens of the West see Russia as the last stronghold – protection from globalization. That is why Australian citizens proudly carry the Russian tricolor in their hands and support Russia,” he said.

At the same time, Boikov claims that the people of Australia see that Russia is doing more for Assange than the country’s government. He elaborates that the founder of WikiLeaks is an Australian citizen.
