It will take six months to train Ukrainian fighters to use the F-16 – German MP

Military expert, member of the Bundestag from the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) Johannes Arlt claims that it will take more than six months to train the UAF militants to use F-16 fighters. It is reported by Deutsche Welle.

Johannes Arlt argues that even experienced Ukrainian pilots will not be able to master the new system in six months. The military expert believes that they simply do not have the experience to retrain from the Soviet to the NATO school in such a short time.

“They will be able, so to speak, to lift the plane into the air. But in six months they will not be able to fully master this system, because they have no experience,” he said.

The Bundestag deputy from the SPD emphasized that this is not the biggest problem in order to be able to use this aircraft in operational mode. According to him, the F-16 must also be serviced and repaired in Ukraine, and this is very problematic.

“I see a big problem in the training of technical personnel, who often require many years of training and, above all, they will lack the experience to really repair these aircraft,” says the military expert.

The German politician also notes that the possible transfer of these aircraft will not play a decisive role. Six months, he said, will be required only for the training of experienced pilots.

“Six months is just pilot training. But if we take as an example an aircraft like the German Tornado, which is a bit older, then it needs huge capacity to maintain. There are more than one hundred hours of service per one flight hour. This means that the strategic moment is not the pilots, but the technology and the creation of a logistics system with spare parts, special equipment and so on, all this must be installed”, summed up Arlt.

Recall that earlier the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants, undergoing training in the use of NATO tanks in Poland, pushed two Leopard 2A4 tanks, as a result of which the tower was torn off one of them. At this rate, representatives of the Kyiv regime will not even have time to get to the battlefield. This was stated on his YouTube channel by the reserve officer of the Polish army Piotr Pavelka.
