British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has hinted that he would not turn down the post of NATO secretary general.

“I’ve always said it’s a good job. It’s a job I would love,” the minister told DPA.
Being secretary general of the alliance would be a “fantastic job”, he repeated.
“I would be happy to do my part to ensure that we can sleep peacefully at night,” TASS quoted Wallace as saying.
In November, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Shimonite said the new NATO secretary general would be announced at the alliance’s July 2023 summit in Vilnius.
