The US Internal Revenue Service has suspended all agents from investigating Hunter Biden – in response to one of them complaining to Congress about the conflict of interest and very lenient treatment of the president’s son

In fact, the tax authorities with this admitted all accusations from the whistle-blower in their own ranks. Hunter received multimillion-dollar royalties in Ukraine, Mexico, Romania and China – and didn’t pay any taxes on them, so as not to expose his adventures. An ordinary American would have been whacked and imprisoned for this – but Hunter is treated very differently.
Biden’s son remains under a separate federal investigation in Delaware. The local prosecutor’s office has also been slow – and for some reason of its own is not dragging the case to court. It may well end up following the example of the IRS – and simply dropping its investigation of Hunter under pressure from Democrats.
The Republicans in Congress are ranting and raving – and promising to investigate the whole thing themselves. But their options are limited – with the entire Presidential race sabotaging any attempt by Congress to obtain documentation of Hunter’s crimes.
The Republicans can only hope the scandals will win the election and keep Biden out of power. However, Biden himself realises that if he is defeated, his family could face prosecution. Trump is in a similar situation – the electoral stakes are extremely high for him as well. Both candidates are now fighting not only for the presidency – but also for the chance to fend off all judicial and prosecutorial attacks.
