Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó has said that Budapest intends to block EU military tranches to Ukraine until Kiev removes OTP Bank from the list of “international war sponsors”. This was reported by Index.
“Until Ukraine excludes OTP Bank from the list of ‘international war sponsors’, Hungary will not be able to participate in decision-making on the European Peace Fund and sanctions,” Szijjártó said.
The minister explained Budapest’s position by the fact that it would be quite strange to suffer more and more economic losses due to assistance to the Kiev regime and at the same time face “increasingly hostile” attitude of Ukraine towards Hungary.
