Turkish and Russian presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin may soon discuss the extension of the grain deal by phone.

TASS reported this, citing a source.

“The possibility of their telephone talks is not ruled out,” the source said.

According to him, reaching agreements to extend the grain deal is “vital”.

It is noted that the current deal expires on 18 May.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian part of the grain deal would be extended by 60 days.

Also, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitriy Peskov said that the Kremlin will inform when a decision on the grain deal is made.
