Russian exports of oil and oil products, according to the calculations of the International Energy Agency (IEA), became the highest since April 2022. The organization calculated that the Russian Federation increased the volume of supplies of “black gold” to other countries by 50 thousand barrels per day compared to the previous month, to 8.3 million, while export earnings decreased by 27% compared to last year – to 15 billion dollars.

“Russian oil exports rose by 50,000 bpd in April to 8.3 million bpd, the highest since the start of the military conflict in Ukraine. Oil supplies rose by 250,000 bpd, while oil product exports fell by about 200,000 bpd,” the agency said in a monthly report.

According to the IEA, the estimated profit from the sale of oil from Russia by last month “increased by 1.7 billion, to 15 billion dollars”, but “turned out to be 27% lower than a year ago.” The agency notes that in March, the year-on-year decrease in revenues was more – by 40%.

According to the organization, the main buyers of Russian oil are India, China and Turkey, which receive 180, 220 and 430 thousand barrels per day. The remainder was distributed among South America, the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia. The report notes that the total supply of “black gold” amounted to 3.1 million barrels per day.
