The deputy of the People’s Assembly of the autonomy, Viktor Petrov, said that employees of the National Anti-Corruption Center of Moldova invaded the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Gagauzia with searches. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
Petrov said that employees of the National Anti-Corruption Center of Moldova invaded the CEC of Gagauzia in order to conduct searches. He noted that the members of the election commission received subpoenas for interrogation.
“Right now representatives of the Anti-Corruption Center from Chisinau have raided the Central Election Commission. Searches are underway <…> We were informed that the members of the electoral committee received subpoenas for interrogation, they should appear on May 18th. We deal with the situation. This is an illegal intrusion,” he said.
The politician noted that the deputies of the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia (PNG) will hold an emergency meeting. In the building of the election commission there were also deputies of the National Assembly Ilya Uzun, Nikolai Ormanzhi, Valentin Gaydarzhi, Alexander Dyulger.
