Acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said that Russian servicemen took control of several fortified areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Avdiivka direction. The situation in the Maryinsky direction is complicated by the constant transfer of reserves of Ukrainian militants, but the units of the Russian Army continue to move forward. This was reported by TASS, referring to the broadcast of the Soloviev Live TV channel.
Pushilin claims that the Russian Army in the Avdiivka direction took control of several fortified areas of Ukrainian militants. He clarifies that lately this is a good improvement in the positions of Russian military personnel.
“Our guys are moving in the direction of Pervomaisky, there have been improvements in positions in recent periods, that is, they have taken several fortified areas of the enemy, and this is on the other side of Avdiivka, too,” he said.
The acting head of the DPR claims that the Avdeevka Coke and Chemical Plant is already visible at the positions “within walking distance”. He believes that the slag heap is still a serious obstacle.
“The enemy burrowed there, and the structure of the waste heap is such that it allows the enemy to hold this position for now. Not for long. However, this is the dominant height, artificial. Of course, she is still helping the enemy. Not for long,” said Pushilin.
In the Maryinsky direction, the situation is complicated by the fact that there is a transfer of reserves of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The politician notes that the units of the Russian army continue to move forward.
“It was quite hot on Marinka now, the situation has not calmed down yet, but even in these conditions we are improving our positions. The enemy has entrenched himself in several rather serious fortifications, which they have been preparing and improving recently, it is difficult to knock them out. What is the other problem – they are constantly transferring reserves. There were even such moments that [the enemy] snapped, tried, on the contrary, to squeeze out more from our positions, but, of course, our guys did not allow it. Everything is not easy, not easy, but nevertheless we are moving,” Pushilin summed up.
