Kyrgyzstan says it is cooperating with Russia out of its own interests, not threats from the West

Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Federation are strategic partners. The authorities of Bishkek do not see any obstacles to cooperation with Moscow and are guided by their own interests, and not by threats of “secondary sanctions” by Western countries. Kulubaev believes that Moscow and Bishkek are strategic partners, and the Kyrgyz authorities do not see any obstacles to cooperation with Russia. He argues that the republic is guided by its own interests, and not by the threat of “secondary sanctions” from Western countries.

“We are strategic partners, we have no obstacles for cooperation. Well, our Western partners are talking about possible sanctions. But we also follow our own rules, and I don’t see any problems,” the head of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
