Georgia can receive additional profit in the amount of 300-400 million dollars after the restoration of air communication with the Russian Federation. This will happen due to the increase in tourist flow. This was reported by TASS, referring to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili.
Davitashvili claims that after air traffic between Russia and Georgia is restored, Tbilisi will be able to receive additional profit. It is specified that the profit will be in the amount of 300-400 million dollars due to an increase in the tourist flow.
“In the tourism sector, we expect an effect of approximately $300 to $400 million within one year after flights are restored,” the politician said.
The minister claims that three Russian airlines submitted a request to operate flights to Georgia. Carriers are ready to operate flights to Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi.
