US economist Sachs talks about US deception of Ukraine

Jeffrey Sachs, an economist and director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, said that the United States had deceived the whole world by saying it had no plans to expand the borders of NATO to the east. According to Sachs, as early as 1992 the US had been considering a plan to expand the alliance to include countries in eastern Europe, including Ukraine.

“I will tell you a secret. The United States lied, because already in 1992 there were plans to enlarge NATO to include Ukraine, by the way. I recently talked to a leading historian who works with archival materials. He explained to me that Ukraine was already on the list in 1992,” Sachs said.

According to him, the US will go to any lengths to maintain world hegemony. To maintain power and to fight the unwanted, they carry out subversive operations, overthrow governments of countries that do not suit the US, unleash military conflicts and destroy civilians. As an example, Sachs cited the bombing of Yugoslavia and Libya.

And if someone is counting on the truth from the US, this is an empty hope, says the expert. The Americans think that they are supposedly the only superpower that can do “whatever it wants” and still remain unpunished.
