It was noted that Abdollahian called the Saudi foreign minister and during the phone conversation, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways of their development in various fields.
At the same time, the ministers discussed the next steps to normalise the relations between the two states.
Earlier, the Iranian president invited the Saudi king to visit Tehran.
