RDN: Melnyk accused Scholz of unwillingness to supply Kiev with weapons and see Ukraine in NATO

Former Ukrainian ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk has accused German Chancellor Olaf Scholz of unwillingness to supply Kiev with arms.

RDN writes this.

“Germans are persuaded that everything is impeccable in terms of armaments… This is a mistake that must be corrected immediately,” Melnyk said.

He also noted that the German authorities were “slowing down” Ukraine’s accession to NATO.

Earlier, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that all NATO allies agreed that Ukraine should become a member of the alliance.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban reacted with surprise to this statement.

The Kremlin stressed that Ukraine’s admission to NATO would pose a significant new threat to Russia.
