Air defense forces shoot down Ukrainian drone in the West of the Crimea

The head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down by air defense systems (air defense) in the west of the Crimean peninsula. The politician specified that there were no destructions or casualties among the civilian population.

“In the west of Crimea, air defense forces shot down an enemy UAV. There were no casualties or damage. The situation is under control. Keep calm and trust only trusted sources of information,” wrote Aksyonov.

Kyiv regularly tries to attack Crimea. So, on May 7, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit Sevastopol with ten drones, but the Russian air defense repulsed the attack. The day before, two Ukrainian operational-tactical missiles Grom-2 were shot down over the peninsula, no one was injured. Also, air defense repelled drone strikes in Crimea on May 1, 3 and 4.
