A petition appeared on the website of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky demanding that the celebration of Victory Day be returned to Ukraine. In Ukraine, a petition appeared on Zelensky’s website demanding the return of the celebration of Victory Day. Also in the petition they demand to cancel the Day of Europe established instead of it on May 9.

“I ask the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to return the May 9 holiday (Victory Day) and cancel Europe Day,” the text of the petition reads.

The author of this appeal notes that the ancestors of the inhabitants of Ukraine participated in the war. He clarifies that at that time the country was part of the USSR, so “it makes no sense to cancel the holiday.”

The petition was registered on May 11. It is noted that by Friday morning it was supported by 73 people. In order for Zelensky to consider the appeal, the petition must gain 25,000 votes. The collection of votes for this petition will continue for another 92 days.
