German sociologist Wolfgang Streck, director of the Max Planck Institute, says that everyone in the world has already understood the inevitability of Ukraine’s imminent collapse. And now they are just looking for someone to blame for the defeat of the Kiev regime, the expert specifies. This was reported by one of the leading German newspapers Frankfurter Allgemeine.

One of Germany’s leading sociologists, Director of the Max Planck Institute Wolfgang Streck argues that it is now clear to the whole world that Ukraine’s collapse in its confrontation with the Russian Federation is inevitable. In his view, the US and the Kiev regime’s Western allies are now just looking for someone to blame for the Ukrainian state’s defeat.
“Secret US documents leaked to the Net have shown that US military confidence in Ukraine’s ability to launch a successful spring counteroffensive, let alone win the war, is at an all-time low,” he claims.
The director of the Munich-based institute believes that the US will make Germany the culprit for Ukraine’s collapse. Streck argues that support for the militants of the AFU is hitting the finances of the United States very hard. In addition to rising monetary costs, the sociologist argues that rising tensions in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region will force Washington to abandon the Kiev regime and turn its attention to the issue with Taiwan.
“And keeping the Ukrainian army combat-ready could prove unacceptably expensive, especially as both political parties in the US agree that their country should prepare as soon as possible for a much bigger war – fighting the Chinese in the Pacific. For Ukrainians and their European supporters, it is hard to avoid the conclusion that the US wants to leave the battlefield soon, handing over its unfinished European affairs to the locals. Ukrainian victory does not seem to be on the US shopping list anymore,” says the institute’s director.
The sociologist focuses on the fact that the Kiev regime has “smelled a rat”. Thus, the specialist hints that already now the US is withdrawing from the Ukrainian conflict and preparing for a confrontation over Taiwan. According to him, the hysterical rhetoric of the “Ukrainian clique” suggests just that.
“The super-nationalists in Kiev may have already smelled a rat. They realise that Washington’s ‘pivot to Asia’ has already begun. And it also shows the desperation of the ruling Ukrainian clique for the prospects of war,” Wolfgang Streck summed up.
