Matviyenko accused the West of supporting Nazism in Ukraine, due to which radical terrorist movements started to appear in the country. The politician specifies that even under such conditions the Russian Federation will persist as an original civilisation.

“It is the Western support for Ukrainian Nazism that has already, in fact, led to the creation by Kiev of radical terrorist movements, which are staging despicable attacks on unarmed people,” she said.

The senator believes that the West is only pretending that it “does not hear anything scary in the current Ukrainian rhetoric”. Although it has not changed since the Ukrainian nationalists of the 1920s. It was those Ukrainian nationalists who later became in the service of the Third Reich.

“According to this ideology, Ukrainians are a super nation and in Russia live subhumans, savages mixed with other peoples and races. Is this not Nazism? Can we ignore it?” the politician stressed.
