The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly stated that all aircraft flights are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace over neutral waters, without violating the borders of other states.
The border service claims that this happened on Friday, May 5. Turbolet L-410 conducted patrols as part of Operation Frontex under Romanian command.
“The Russian Su-35 fighter jet, without any radio contact, flew into the operational zone designated by Romania, after which it made aggressive and dangerous maneuvers – three approaches to the Polish aircraft without maintaining a safe distance,” the message says.
According to them, as a result of the maneuvers of the Russian fighter, “strong turbulence of the aircraft of the Polish Border Guard” occurred.
“The crew of 5 five members of the Polish Border Guard lost control of the aircraft and lost altitude,” the report says, adding that “after the third approach, the Russian fighter moved away from the Polish aircraft.”
