This was reported by RIA Novosti citing the Moldovan authority.
“Moldova intends to join the EU decision to impose an interim measure on imports of wheat, maize, rapeseed and sunflower originating in Ukraine, with provision for transit through our country,” the ministry said in a statement.
According to the Moldovan deputy prime minister, the volume of local grains in the warehouses is high, which puts pressure on the farmers, as they fear there will be no room for the new harvest.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that Brussels could not be trusted to export grain from Ukraine.
The European Commission banned grain exports from Ukraine to five Eastern European countries from 2 May to 5 June, while allowing its transit to other EU countries.
