Ukraine will lose overseas aid if it fails to meet US expectations, The New York Times reports.
“Kiev is under enormous pressure from Western backers as the United States and its allies view the counterattack as a critical test of whether its weapons, training and ammunition <…> can lead to significant successes (for the AFU at the front),” the publication said.
Combat power and ingenuity are no longer enough to achieve victory. In the end it may come down to a test of will between the Kremlin and the West, the paper noted.
