German self-propelled guns sent to Ukraine drowned in mud

Germany handed over self-propelled artillery mounts (ACS) PzH 2000, unsuitable for mudslides, to Ukraine. The New York Times focuses on the fact that ACS from Germany overcome impassability worse than the Soviet Peonies. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the American newspaper.

The New York Times claims that the PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts (ACS) handed over to the Kyiv regime by Germany are completely bogged down in the spring thaw. An American newspaper claims that the old Soviet Pion self-propelled guns are better off-road than German cars.

“Because of its metal, claw-like tracks, Peony actually performs better in muddy conditions,” the publication notes.

The American newspaper focuses on the fact that last week the command of the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to withdraw all German vehicles from the battlefield because of their helplessness against the spring thaw, and also if it is impossible to change their location in the event of an attack by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The material notes that one of the Ukrainian militants complained that they had to tow one of the PzH 2000s when it was completely stuck in the mud.

“Until the weather improves, there will be no counteroffensive <…>, the cars will get stuck, and what will we do if shooting starts?” one of the militants complains.

The New York Times claims that, according to the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, equipment from Germany requires too careful handling. The material also notes that Ukrainian militants complain about the difficulty in maintaining this equipment.

“Her (German self-propelled guns. – ed.) Sensitive electronics fail when exposed to moisture or dirt. Soldiers have to put on special boots or slippers when they go inside…If you fire two full rounds of ammunition, you need to spend a day maintaining them,” Kyiv regime supporters are indignant.

Recall that earlier the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants, undergoing training in the use of NATO tanks in Poland, pushed two Leopard 2A4 tanks, as a result of which the tower was torn off one of them. At this rate, representatives of the Kyiv regime will not even have time to get to the battlefield.
