The leader of the right-wing nationalist Austrian Freedom Party (APS), Herbert Kickl, said that Austria should immediately lift the sanctions against the Russian Federation that are destroying the country. The head of the APS argues that high inflation did not “fell from the sky” but is a consequence of the failed policy of the Austrian government.
“The inflation rate in Austria is clearly higher than in many other EU countries. Extreme inflation in Austria did not fall out of the sky, the number one price driver is the erroneous policy of the government”, says the deputy.
The politician explained that the ill-considered and failed decisions of the Austrian government cause the impoverishment of the population of the Republic. Kickl argues that the economic sanctions imposed by his country against Russia did not affect the launch of a special military operation in Ukraine. However, the measures taken, according to him, made only their own citizens suffer.
“We finally need effective measures, which we, the members of the Freedom Party, have been demanding for a long time: capping the prices of basic foodstuffs, energy and fuel through massive tax cuts to the point of their complete elimination, a real containment of rising rental prices and an immediate from self-destructive sanctions against Russia,” says Kickl.
