Ukrainian media: US Zuni aircraft missiles have entered service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Oleshchuk, has published a photo of an Su-25 aircraft with Zuni aircraft missiles, which the United States promised to hand over to Kiev.

RIA Novosti
The UNIAN news agency reported this on Telegram.

“Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk showed the Su-25 with American Zuni missiles, the transfer of which was announced by the US in January,” the report said.

On 26 April, Military Watch Magazine quoted “classified documents from the US Department of Defence” as saying that the Pentagon was concerned that Ukraine risked being left without air defence equipment by 23 May.

The story noted that this would allow the Russian Armed Forces to use more aviation in support of ground forces and facilitate a major offensive by the Russian army.

The Wall Street Journal columnist Gordon Labold said that the United States defence sector is in a critical condition as a result of an explosion at an important factory producing a special type of gunpowder.
