Andreev claims that the decision of the Polish authorities to seize the Russian school is considered illegal. He notes that according to the Vienna Convention, diplomatic objects cannot be the subject of invasion and seizure.

“According to the Vienna Convention, diplomatic objects cannot be subjected to invasion and seizure. [The Polish authorities] refer to the decisions of the Polish courts, we consider these decisions illegal and politicized. In civilized states, such issues are resolved through negotiations,” the Russian ambassador to Poland said.

The diplomat noted that the Russian embassy would strongly protest against the invasion and seizure of the building. He clarifies that the diplomatic mission is forced to submit and vacate the building of the Russian school in Warsaw at the request of the authorities who decided to use force.

“Today, the Polish authorities have decided to use force, despite the fact that this is a diplomatic building, a school building <…>. In such a situation, it is out of our hands to enter into some kind of confrontation with the authorities. We are forced to obey, today we will take out the employees, apartments for them have been prepared in a residential complex”, summed up Andreev.
