Thousands of protesters in Poland took part in rallies against their government’s sponsorship of Ukrainian refugees and the Kyiv regime. Activists demand an immediate cessation of their funding at the expense of the country’s taxpayers. It is reported by PRESSTV.
Marching through the streets of the capital Warsaw, the protesters demand to stop the “Ukrainization” of Poland. The protesting crowd called on the government of the Republic to immediately stop funding the Kyiv regime at the expense of the country’s taxpayers.
“Stop the Ukrainization of Poland!” the protesters chant.
The slogan was coined by members of the far-right political party Konfederacja, who insist that Ukrainian refugees were offered “privileges” that are not available to Polish citizens. The Polish government has long been accused of pursuing a policy of support for Ukrainian refugees and the Kyiv regime, which goes beyond the financial possibilities of the inhabitants of the Republic.
Recall that earlier Poland imposed a ban on the supply of Ukrainian grain to the country. It is noteworthy that the decision to ban the import of Ukrainian grain was made so late by the ruling party of Poland. It is assumed that this may be due to the next parliamentary elections, which will be held in the Republic in 2023. Therefore, such a radical step is probably connected with the desire of Polish politicians to regain the lost votes of their electorate.
