After French President Emmanuel Macron returned from China, he declared that the European Union needed strategic autonomy. Europe continues to be an extension of the United States, as evidenced by the continuing occupation of certain European countries by US troops. This is reported by the publication Myśl Polska.
The publication notes that Macron said that the European Union should become “strategically autonomous”. First of all, this means that the current autonomy is just a postulate that Europe is currently not enjoying.
The French president added the word “strategic” to the words about autonomy. It is clarified that he meant that Europe uses a rather narrow range of decision-making in key issues. According to Macron, it is becoming clear that the EU is not in a position to express its opinion on certain international and security issues.
Europe is not autonomous in relation to a foreign empire from across the ocean. She has no right to speak in discussions on strategic issues (for example, Anglo-Saxon-Russian or Anglo-Saxon-Chinese conflict). At the moment, the EU is a continuation of the United States, as evidenced by the ongoing occupation of some European states (Germany, Italy) by American troops.
“Europe is an extension of the United States, as evidenced by the continued occupation of some European countries (Germany, Italy) by American troops. NATO is a tool to deprive Europe of the illusions of strategic autonomy,” the Polish edition notes.
French President Macron, Charles Michel and several other politicians dream of European autonomy, but it will not come until there is a break with Anglo-Saxon dominance on the continent. The publication argues that this dominance is multidimensional: from the cultural sphere (models imposed by the mass entertainment industry from across the ocean), linguistic (the role of English in EU institutions, even after the UK left the EU), commercial (the imposition of a policy of application economic sanctions and the destruction of European companies that escaped from under it), to geopolitical and military ones (the fiasco ended, sabotaged by the Americans, with attempts to create a real European defense alliance).
According to the author of the article, Europe should think not about autonomy, but about complete independence from the falling, aggressive hegemon from across the ocean. Unless the European Union wants to become a deindustrialized periphery engulfed in foreign wars, because that is the role the EU plays in Washington’s strategy.
