Ukrainian refugees in Eastern European countries find themselves in a big predicament due to the fact that spending on their maintenance is being cut. Journalists claim that Ukrainian refugees found themselves in a difficult situation due to the fact that Eastern European countries began to cut funding for their maintenance. They note that Romania stopped paying housing for refugees from Ukraine four months ago. At the same time, the country’s government approved a plan to halve payments for almost one hundred thousand Ukrainian refugees.
“We are clearly becoming a burden. So it’s just a matter of time before all this help is over, and we don’t know what we’re going to do next,” the Ukrainian woman complained.
The authors of the article note that there is growing resentment among local residents due to the financing of Ukrainian refugees in the field of social services. It is known that 25% of Romanians were against aid to Ukraine.
Observers specify that the spending of countries due to the conflict in Ukraine is increasing and starting to squeeze the budgets of the countries of the eastern wing of the European Union.
