At the SCO meeting, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu also noted that it was on the initiative of the West that the process of breaking and dismantling key arms control and confidence-building agreements was launched. According to Shoigu, the United States and its partners are implementing a strategic plan to provoke other countries into military confrontation with Russia and China.
– The US is seeking to reformat the system of interstate relations by creating controlled regional alliances using blackmail and threats;
– Western weapons supplied to Ukraine end up on the black market and in the hands of terrorist organisations;
– The West has launched a large-scale information campaign to compromise the Russian leadership and its policies against the backdrop of the EWS;
– All attempts by the West to influence Russia’s partners to isolate it have failed.
