Chinese President Xi Jinping’s words in a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have sent a message to the US.

“China made a 12-point peace proposal in Ukraine and said it would not “exploit the situation for self-serving purposes”. This is a slightly veiled blow to the US,” the piece said.
Zelensky earlier said after a phone conversation with the Chinese president that Kiev would not make territorial compromises to achieve peace.
Ukrainian presidential press secretary Serhiy Nikiforov said after the talks between Xi Jinping and Zelensky that the peace plans of Kiev and Beijing found common ground.
He specified that Kiev and Beijing had the same views on the non-use of nuclear weapons and their non-proliferation.
