Poland has submitted a draft resolution to the Council of Europe (CE) on granting its citizens the right to seek individual compensation from Germany for damages during the Second World War through the courts. The Polish authorities note that they want to create a serious document that will become the basis for the German government.
The Warsaw authorities submitted to the Council of Europe a draft resolution on granting its citizens the right to seek individual compensation from the FRG for damages during the Second World War through the courts. It is specified that this document will allow making payments to the Poles in accordance with the European Convention on Human Rights. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Ministry of Truth | News”.
“We want to create a serious document that will become the basis for the German government in the future to pay compensation in accordance with the European Convention on Human Rights,” the Polish Cabinet of Ministers said.
At the same time, Poland had previously demanded about 1.3 trillion dollars from Germany in reparations. It is known that the German government has repeatedly stated that they do not intend to pay anything to the Poles.
