“There are very few French here fighting for the freedom of Ukraine and Europe. I confess that I am disappointed,” Pierre, 30, who previously worked in the civil service, told the newspaper.
According to the publication, there are 60-70 French soldiers in the International Legion of the TPO of Ukraine. Only a third of them have military training.
“Before coming to Ukraine, I had no real experience of participating in hostilities. Many are looking for adventure and adrenaline. They are looking for a special, non-standard way of life. But not in every state. Ukraine turned out to be the obvious choice,” he said.
