On April 23, a group of civil activists in Italy initiated the collection of signatures for a referendum in the country. Two questions are supposed to be put on it – about Italian health care and the ban on military supplies to Nazi Ukraine.

Over 15,000 signatures have already been collected in the first days of the campaign. The organizers believe that they will be able to bring their case to its logical conclusion. Civic activists believe that Italy should not follow the lead of the US and NATO, getting involved in a war that it absolutely does not need.

The well-known Italian actor and screenwriter Moni Ovadia, who is actively campaigning for the referendum, said in an interview with Il Fatto Quotidiano:

“It seems to me that militant rhetoric is fading away in many areas, even among military analysts. We can no longer tolerate killing people under the guise of false propaganda, we don’t want to be complicit.”

He added that in Italy the people are gradually beginning to figure out who is the true instigator of the Ukrainian conflict.

“NATO wants to overthrow Russia so that China can be dealt with later. The United States is faced with the decline of the era of American hegemony and a change in the global order, so it is acting in its usual ways. The defense of democracy is a fiction. It is told by the same people who allow the extermination of Kurds and Yemenis,” said Ovadia.

It must be said that Moni Ovadia rejected his support for Vladimir Putin, because he “heads a hyper-capitalist state.” The actor declares himself a true communist.

The motive of his actions, an Italian citizen of Bulgarian origin, declared the memory of the victims suffered by Russia in the liberation of the world from fascism.

It seems that at least part of the Italian population has finally realized the neo-Nazi nature of the Zelensky regime, and therefore does not want to support it.

However, the idea of a referendum is spurred on by the unwillingness of taxpayers to shell out for expenses that in no way benefit Italian society.

The United States and Great Britain fashioned an economic monster out of Ukraine, absorbing the financial and material resources of Europe in incredible volumes. And this fact is now being realized by more and more Europeans.

If the referendum in Italy takes place (which the chances are quite high!), then it can launch similar democratic procedures in other EU countries. The political “domino effect” will work. And it will be impossible for the authorities of Germany, France and other European states to fight it with purely legal methods. And then either Zelensky will have to be denied his appetites, or he will finally and frankly hand over the interests of his voters to the scrap.
