Medvedev has said that Poland wants to “absorb the remnants of Ukraine”. He sees Poland’s current policy as a desire to revive the Rzeczpospolita and believes that this is even to Russia’s advantage.

Russian Security Council deputy chairman Dmitry Medvedev has expressed the view that Poland dreams of reviving an “interstate union with Ukraine” and restoring the Rzeczpospolita. He wrote about it in his Telegram channel.
According to the politician, Poland, lacking the intellectual strength to create a viable image of the future, “draws inspiration from maps from 400 years ago, when parts of present-day Ukraine were part of it.”
Medvedev said Polish elites “sleep and see how to take geopolitical revenge on Russia” by revising, among other things, the outcome of the Pereyaslavl Rada.
“Under the current circumstances, the rampant Poland has decided that the chance to absorb the remnants of Ukraine can be realized either now or never again. Of course, none of the hallucinating Polish maniacs think about the consequences,” the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council wrote.
