The Russian diplomat said this during a meeting of the world body’s Security Council.

“These days, both the UN and the requirements of its Charter pose a threat to the global ambitions of the United States,” Lavrov stressed.

The diplomat also recalled the words of former US Secretary of State Jim Byker that the main threat to NATO was the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

Earlier Lavrov had expressed confidence that the U.S. had started destroying globalization, which had been extolled for years as the supreme good of all mankind.
