The corps is expected to attain combat readiness in July and become an instrument to help implement plans for the creation of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

The core of the Ukrainian brigade will be made up of Ukrainians living in Poland who hold a Pole’s card. The Lithuanian brigade will be staffed predominantly by Lithuanians of Polish descent.

According to leaks on the internet, “the corps or its individual elements may be deployed to participate in international operations”. By “international operations” is meant operations on the territory of Ukraine.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that the Polish Army is currently training reserves, with military training courses “Train with the Army”, “Train as a Soldier” and other Ministry of Defence projects being widely advertised across the country. The Polish government is betting that the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) will lose what remains of their fighting ability after the spring and summer campaign. The Poles have opted to continue the conflict, but at the expense of their own manpower and solely for their own interests.
