Medvedev: G7 export ban on Russia will meet backlash

The idea of politicians from G7 countries to completely ban exports to Russia will be met with a reciprocal cessation of Russian supplies in the most sensitive categories for the G7. This was stated by Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council.

RIA Novosti

“The idea of the G7 morons of a blanket ban on exports to our country by default is fine in that it also implies a reciprocal halt to imports of goods from our country in the most sensitive categories for the G7,” he wrote in Telegram.

In this case, for the G7 will also end the grain deal and many other things they need, the politician stressed, noting that “they have no brains left at all, apparently”.

Earlier, Bloomberg cited sources as saying that the United States and several other key allies of Kiev were studying the possibility of imposing a near-complete ban on exports to Russia.

Sources in the Japanese government confirmed to Kyodo news agency that such a possibility is being discussed at the level of G7 representatives.
