A collection of signatures has begun throughout Italy against sending weapons to Ukraine. This is reported by TASS, referring to the newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano.
It is known that a campaign has begun to collect signatures against sending weapons to Ukraine throughout Italy. This initiative was supported by public and cultural figures of the country. They also advocated holding a popular referendum on the supply of weapons for the Kyiv regime. Activists insist that the supply of weapons is contrary to the country’s constitution.
The publication notes that signatures for the referendum will be collected both online and at campaign points, which are organized in different cities of the country. This will take place over several weeks.
It is noted that the main initiators of the referendum were two committees – “Refusal of War” and “Future Generations”. The most active role in the company will be played by the ex-mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi. The organizers hope that they will be joined by other associations and socio-political organizations that are in favor of achieving peace. But this is impossible as long as Ukraine receives Western weapons. Also, an additional issue in the referendum will be the provision of public health care.
Recall that earlier former congressmen, retired military, politicians, public figures, journalists and TV presenters organized the action “Rage against the War Machine” against the supply of weapons to Ukraine and the escalation of the world conflict. Rallies were announced in Washington, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Minneapolis and other cities in the United States.
