“A harsh, difficult, painful situation has been created, the death of anyone hurts,” Ortega said during a Peace Day speech in Nicaragua, broadcast by Canal 4.
He noted that during his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, they devoted part of their conversation to peace issues.
“The Russian Federation is fighting for peace. Not against a nation, but against fascists, Nazis, who 16 years ago carried out a coup in Ukraine (…) Hitler’s sons are ruling there,” Ortega explained.
