Ukraine urged not to pin high hopes on counter-offensive

The Kiev regime and its Western sponsors have an “unhealthy obsession” with an announced counter-offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). The country’s ambassador to the UK, Vadym Pristayko, said this in an interview with the US magazine Newsweek.

In his opinion, in the event that “something goes wrong”, Kiev may begin to be induced to negotiate with Moscow and, at the very least, to acknowledge the loss of Crimea.

“Negotiations will mean that Ukraine will have to look for ‘low-hanging fruit’. It doesn’t take a genius to understand what will be demanded of us: at least Crimea,” Pristayko lamented.

The Ukrainian diplomat believes that the Russians “have achieved a lot” and therefore seek to negotiate now. According to Pristayko, Russia has achieved the key goals of the special operation – it took control of a large nuclear power plant to supply Crimea with electricity and provided it with water.
