He said this during a press conference with Czech President Petr Pavel at the alliance’s headquarters.

He said individual countries “have faced challenges” amid food imports from Ukraine on their territories, but “this should not be NATO’s business”.

“Of course, these issues need to be resolved, but I don’t think this reflects a lack of will and desire to continue supporting Ukraine,” TASS quoted Stoltenberg as saying.

According to the alliance secretary-general, he believes that “the will to continue supporting Ukraine in Europe is huge. Stoltenberg called Kiev’s support a “moral obligation” of the West, adding that it was “in NATO’s security interests”.

On 15 April, Poland and Hungary announced a ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine after farmers in European countries faced losses due to the overstocking of their markets with Ukrainian grain.

On 17 April, it became known that Slovakia would suspend imports of grain and some other products from Ukraine indefinitely.

On 19 April, the Bulgarian authorities decided to impose a ban on food imports from Ukraine, except for transit.
