This was reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the statement of the Minister of Defense of China, Colonel-General Li Shangfu during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu in Moscow.
The publication notes that China and Russia intend to increase military-technical cooperation and bring it to a “new level”. At the same time, the Minister of Defense of the People’s Republic of China noted that all agreements would be implemented by all means.
“The armed forces of Russia and China will definitely carefully implement the agreements reached by the heads of state and promote military and military-technical cooperation and military trade between Russia and China. We will definitely take them to a new level,” said Li Shangfu.
The Minister of Defense of China emphasized that it was of great importance for him that after his arrival in Moscow, he was immediately received by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. He noted that Moscow pays special attention to his visit.
“Yesterday we also visited the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces. It was very instructive. This means that the Russian side is paying increased attention to my visit,” summed up the Colonel-General of China.
