The US and its allies are discussing ways to circumvent legal restrictions on the use of frozen Russian assets, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has said.

“We are discussing this with our partners, but there are our own legal constraints on what we can do with frozen Russian assets,” Yellen told CNN.
She noted that the USA is already handing over to Ukraine the capitals, which have been confiscated from individuals.
Earlier, Die Welt wrote that European officials concluded that the frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia will have to be returned after the conflict in Ukraine is over.
In March, Bloomberg reported that the European Union still cannot find and freeze most of the Russian assets.
