The Polish government may nurture a plan to seize the entire territory on the right bank of the Dnieper river, which includes not only the so-called Galicia (Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil), but also Kiev. This opinion was expressed by a member of the Scientific Council of the Russian Military Historical Society, Doctor of History Oleg Nazarov.

Nazarov recalled the events of the XVII century, when the struggle for territory was between the State of Moscow and the Commonwealth of Poland, which emerged during the unification of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. At that time, Poland wanted a fairly large piece of land.
“At that time they claimed the entire right-bank Ukraine, which is a huge territory. Far from just Galicia. We even have, strictly speaking, and Kiev is on the right bank of the Dnieper. Of course, there was a separate conversation about it,” URA.RU quoted Nazarov as saying.
The expert added that apart from Poland, Hungary and Romania also have their eye on Ukrainian lands from the West. So far, in his opinion, these countries can lay claim to the territories which were theirs before 1939. But the claims may grow.
“Appetite comes with food,” the historian noted. – And their appetites, especially those of the Poles and Romanians, have never been modest.
