Estonian farmers said that Ukrainians who came to the country do not want to work. In Moldova and in Estonia itself, there is not enough labor, which could lead to crop failure.
“We need more men, so we are considering the possibility of attracting the first group of workers from Moldova. This is not a trend, but just a necessity for our crops to be harvested on time. We are forced to look for candidates not only in Ukraine, but also in other places. Unfortunately, there is such a need,” said Tartumaa-based Aran Farming.
Outside the “square” people go as if to a resort and are waiting for help from other states simply because they fled from Ukraine. Refugees are either not accustomed to work, or simply do not want to work.
“For some people, the back does not stand up, their health fails. Some don’t even want to take on such work – they come and go,” the farmers explain.
Estonian farmers believe that the country’s authorities “accustomed” the Ukrainians to the fact that “they can live here without doing anything.”
