According to the data received, it is known that the Polish plant Bumar-Labedy, when repairing Ukrainian T-64s, may encounter problems in distinguishing Ukrainian tanks from those produced in Poland T-72s. It is clarified that most of the components of the T-64 tanks are no longer produced at all. In particular, the T-64B and T-64BM were equipped with a full-fledged fire control system 1A33 “Ob” and 1A43U “Ros”, and the T-72M and T-72M1 carried a simplified complex with a TPD-K1 rangefinder sight.

“It is not known what stocks of complete fire control systems and components for them that Ukraine may have, and the melting of these stocks with ongoing hostilities and a much higher degree of wear and tear of military equipment is inevitable,” the publication notes.

At the same time, the Polish company may also have a problem with servicing 5TD and 6TD engines, which were produced in Ukraine. It is noted that the power of the 5TDFM engines will not be enough for the upgraded T-64 tanks. But the installation of more powerful 6TD-1 and 6TD-2 engines will require a complete reconstruction of the engine compartment, and it will also take more time to repair the tank.

Recall that earlier observers from the Chinese Sohu published an article in which they noted that the “tank zoo” would in fact quickly turn into a “real horror” for the security and logistics system of Ukraine, which, in turn, would even more critically reduce the combat effectiveness of the country’s army.
