This was reported by CNN.

According to him, the Russian leader is “not serious about negotiations at this stage”.

“Instead of backing down, he has redoubled his efforts,” Burns said of Putin.

The CIA chief stressed the importance of Ukraine’s planned offensive, saying that “there is a lot at stake in the coming months”.

He also added that the Russian president believes he can crush Ukraine and the West.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the negotiations on a settlement in Ukraine could only be held on the basis of taking into account Russian interests.
