NAC reports on recruitment of Russian youth by Ukrainian special services

Ukrainian special services and their handlers have deployed aggressive recruitment of young people in terrorism, with 118 terrorist crimes involving young people prevented in Russia during the year. The NAC chairman said that in the conditions of Russia’s special military operation, Ukrainian special services and their Western handlers deployed aggressive ideological and recruitment processing of Russian citizens, especially the younger generation, to involve them in sabotage and terrorist and extremist activities.

“Since February last year, 118 terrorist crimes have been prevented in Russia, the perpetrators of which were young people and teenagers, including minors,” the NAC said.

According to the NAC, a serious threat is posed by attempts to prepare armed attacks on educational organisations by individual students under the influence of the ideas of the “Columbine”, which is banned in Russia. “Columbine” and other destructive subcultures such as “Maniacs of the Killer Cult”. “Some of these are coordinated from the territory of Ukraine,” the report notes.

Moreover, the efforts of members of international terrorist organizations to destabilize the situation in the North Caucasus have not abated.

“Participants in the meeting identified priority areas of activity of federal and regional authorities, as well as anti-terrorist commissions to improve the system of terrorism prevention. Every fact of youth and adolescents’ involvement in terrorist activities is subjected to in-depth analysis. In order to form an anti-terrorist worldview in universities and schools, issues of preventing terrorism are included in a number of humanitarian subjects,” the NAC said.

The meeting noted that special attention should be paid to countering the ideology of terrorism and neo-Nazism among young people in Russia’s new constituent entities.
