The Russian foreign minister said this at a news conference after a meeting with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu.

“If we are talking about the fact that instead of cooperation on the principles that I have mentioned, Western countries will try to engage in threats, blackmail, will force our allies to undermine relations with the Russian Federation to the detriment of their own national interests, of course, we will not hide our attitude to such attempts,” Lavrov said.

The Russian foreign minister earlier said the West was openly working against Russia in the CIS space.

The new concept of Russia’s foreign policy was published on 31 March.

According to the document, Russia will defend its right to exist and develop by all available means.

On 10 April, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that it highly appreciated Moscow’s choice for the first foreign trip of Kazakhstan’s new Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu.
