106 Russian servicemen returned home after prisoner exchange with Ukrainian side

Russian army soldiers who found themselves in Ukrainian captivity returned home

The Russian Defence Ministry has published footage of Russian servicemen returning from Ukrainian captivity.

The freed Russian army soldiers were transported by buses accompanied by police cars and ambulances. On arrival, they were given clothes. For the first time in a long time, they called their loved ones once they were in the Russian Federation.

“It’s just a joy in general that we are in Russia, that I heard from my relatives and loved ones, my wife and child, I heard from my parents,” Alexander said.

As part of the exchange programme, 106 Russian servicemen have been returned from Kiev-controlled territory.
